    Trying to choose a new Android phone is a minefield.....

      I don't like Samsung anymore since they locked their phones down and don't let you install clean versions of Android, without all those crapware apps.

      My next phone will probably be a Nexus: a 6P if I feel comfortable spending ~$500 on a phone, and the cheaper 5X for ~$300 if I'd rather not splurge.

      Nexus phones are the Google flagships, so they get security updates for the longest span of time.
