While you were busy having any interesting or memorable moments in your childhood, I studied the blade.

 

Now that the barbarians are at the gate and you cry for my help, I will say simply,

I really miss being able to run around in the woods with my friends, throwing sticks and pinecones at each other.

I just remembered that our elementary school bordered some massive woodlands, and we would go into them and gather sticks (and logs) at recess and built a GIANT fort out of it. Every day at recess we would build it a little bigger, support things that were unstable, etc. It was shaped like a big horseshoe with the gap being the entrance, and a little thatch/woven roof out of sticks and long prairie grass. Good times.

i miss walking out the back door, going down to the dock and hopping in my boat to go fishing whenever i wanted...

i miss walking out the back door, going down to the dock and hopping in my boat to go fishing whenever i wanted...

While my favorite fishing spot wasn't right outside my back door it was a pretty easy walk, I still drive down there from time to time and check it out.
