Gorge: Halo CE single player map

Gorge is a single player map for Halo CE. It's the fist level of the custom campaign I've been working on. It's designed to fit the stock CE aesthetic while still having lots of custom weapons and some custom enemies. Legendary difficulty is recommended, since that's what I balanced it around and tested on.

There is not a single health pack though. Beating this on Legendary was tough! :'v

 

Some of those custom weapons fit quite nicely with the CE aesthetics

I liked it. As tark said the map should have health packs. It was also a bit confusing without any ending

Like others said, this was a pretty punishing map on legendary without health packs or more frequent checkpoints as you whittled down the enemies. The custom weapons and arrival of more marines really helped though. Having multiple paths in a few places where two groups of enemies are firing at you from different angles is different from what you usually see in CE's linear campaign encounters so it was an interesting challenge. Visually I think the environment really fit in to CE.

I'm glad you all seem to generally like the map! 

 

When I get the chance I'll release an updated version-- probably with it set to end the map when the second bunker is defeated, and add some health packs.
