Posted March 6, 2022 I'm happy to announce that our image processor for saving avatars has been substantially upgraded, and also that maximum file sizes have also been increased to 128KB to 1MB. This means: Images cropped via the GUI no longer produce fuzzy results. Most images don't need to be downscaled before uploading. Larger resolution gifs will now retain their animation after crop! Posted April 7, 2022 Avatars have been made even clearer now with the help of @Kavawuvi! The thumbnails generated for post avatars were 240x240, however they're being displayed at 150x150. Resizing of images is most cleanly done when divided by an integer, so this has now been changed to 300x300. I've reprocessed the avatars of those of you that re-uploaded last time, so ya'll are good to go!
