I think it would be sweat for small maps. Team Leaders could also be given damage resistance, and after set intervals people are allowed to vote again on a leader.

 

Would be an interesting new dynamic for this ol' game.

This played awesome on larger KoTH maps!

 

Other than the voting issues, here's some more suggestions:

  • Periodic revotes for leaders at a customizable interval, and not sure if it already does this, but of course revotes triggered for team leader if the leader leaves team (quits or changes team).
  • Name of team's current squad leader persistent at base of screen like where the sprinting bar is on this script. Should do away with announcing the leader in main chat to avoid clutter if you can implement this.
  • An announcement to all when a leader dies, such as "Red Team's leader is down!", and an extra kill point for being the murderer.
  • Announcement when an entire squad has been wiped out at once (no one on opposite team is alive).
  • Bottomless clip when near squad leader (no unlimited nades though), and maybe asterisks at either side of leader's name at bottom of screen to indicate when you're within such range?
