Atari Confirms New Console

20 posts in this topic

In a very surprising move, Atari CEO Fred Chesnais has confirmed that the company has indeed been working on a new console, stating that it is based on PC technology and that they are still working on the design - which will be shown off at a later date.

What do you think of this news? Can Atari make any sort of dent in today's console market?

Tiddy-bits:

Every console for the past couple decades has been based on "PC technology", so I'm not sure what's meant by that. That's about as vague of a statement as you can make.

What really remains to be seen is what kind of content they'll have for it. That's what will make or break it.

If they did a remastered version of Atari Porn I'd buy it.

Um... why not?

You said you'd get it if Atari Porn were remastered, so it's clearly beyond "why not" lol otherwise it wouldn't matter.

Well, the only reason I bought a 360 was for Halo 3. The only reason I bought a Gameboy Advance was for Golden Sun. The only reason I bought a Nintendo DS was for Golden Sun: Dark Dawn.

I'm a fanboy dude. If they brought it into the 21st century, I'd pay top 21st century dollar for it.
