Within the last 16 hrs the ABS and check engine light came on my car. What a wonderful way to celebrate turning 28 :')

This has been one shitshow after another. The first attempt to fix it didn't sort my problem, they had it back in this morning to discover theres evidence of food in my engine, and a night rat living in there. They won't touch it until it's dealt with now.

Tiddy-bits:

Dammit.

I ran this for about 5 minutes and got almost 200 errors. I tested the kit from my older PC on this PC and it was fine.

I guess I have bad RAM. Hopefully they honor the 'lifetime' warranty.

Reseat and clean contacts? I would do that as a last resort, but it's very rare the contacts on newer RAM gets dirty.

As you'd stated, it sounds like bad RAM to me.

Victoria avoids serious damage after major earthquake rocks Melbourne:

Geoscience Australia said the magnitude 5.9 earthquake hit the Mansfield region, about two hours north-east of Melbourne, about 9.15am. Emergency services reported tremors as far north as Dubbo and Sydney, both about 700km from the epicentre.

There have been three aftershocks recorded since then, with experts warning there could be more in the following days and, even months.

Quote

“If these preliminary estimates are correct, it is probably the largest earthquake we have felt around Melbourne in the last 175 to 200 years,” Attanayake said. “If it’s a magnitude 6.0, it’s the first in hundreds of years. This is the first earthquake of this magnitude I have seen here during my lifetime, and it has probably not been seen during the lifetime of several generations.”

My dear parcel, where you're going now? I will never know. But you shall be missed.

Cont.:

so, if one might remember, my parcel was on it's way "returning to sender".
But if you think things are going straight forward (or backwards) from now on, you must have severely underestimated the gross incompetence of a post office!

Of course my parcel "could neither be delivered to recipient or sender". At this point the PO was asking for help: "please contact our call center".
A slight gleam of hope? The possibility of being united with my parcel after all?

Well, after calling their call center (twice of course, because the first time their internal tracking data hadn't updated and my parcel was still on its way "returning to sender"), I was told to use an investigation request form.

Can do!

After submitting this investigation request to the post office (that was on Monday this week) including my address, the address of the sender and a plea to please, please try to deliver the parcel to my address; I receive today (Friday this week) the following message:
"1st of October - deadline reached - returning to sender".

I swear... the gift that keeps on giving...

TBC.
