Comp

I need help! I went to BestBuy today and wasted two hrs looking for a comp.

The guy at the check out window started placing my order and then realized the comp is unavailable and wont be in stock for a long time. WTF!? I hate people that waste my fucking time.....thanks for wasting my precious two hrs ass hat!!

Anyways,

Okay. I need a laptop that  has:

screen size: 15.6

display: HD (1366x768)

processor: intel core i5

memory: 8gb

hard drive 1tb

Any recommendations? Should I buy from amazon or dell or lenovo or walmart or target or fries? lol

Anti-piracy. If you can't burn CDs, then you obviously can't pirate music. Where would you put the music?

The laptop looks okay. I'm not fond of OEMs using 5400 RPM hard drives when a 1 TB 7200 RPM hard drive is just $10 more, and a 240 GB SSD is just $10 more after that, and the difference of power consumption between 7200 RPM and 5400 RPM isn't much, and even less when you take into account that the hard drive isn't always going to be spinning.

A smaller device that is more mobile is attractive to someone wanting to pirate discs so not producing them with the player is preventative measure. Just guessing, of course.

Well, most people don't need their computers to read discs anymore. And making laptops lighter seems to be a big goal among computer manufacturers.

Yeah. I personally avoid laptops with optical drives because they make the laptop fatter, they suck up power, they're noisy, they're slow, and I never use them for anything. I personally stream most of my music and movies.

If I'm going to where I know there won't be an Internet connection, I can just download the movies off of iTunes or something or use Spotify's offline downloading feature to listen to music or Amazon MP3 to download the songs as DRM-free MP3s, so I don't have to bring a stack of jewel cases or DVD cases with me.

I know many people like to play music discs or even watch DVDs, and if you still have a use for it, that's fine. For many others like me, it's a bit obsolete.
