Tiddy-bits:

Now modify it with some external deep cycle marine batteries so you can have even more amp hours!

Picture of said bruise is a very important missing piece to this review

I've got an older APC BF350 UPS/Power strip floating around somewhere. Picked it up when I was a Third Key at DG. They where changing out their POS systems, everything had to go...except the UPS, which was to be chucked. Asked if I could have it and they said it had to sit in the dumpster, but if I "rescued" it after my shift was over, it was mine to keep.

So I gave the UPS a home...now I can't remember where it's gone.

Turns out this was so heavy because the batteries are lead-acid.

12v about the size of Powerwheels battery, right?

I hear drinking it makes you immune to bullshit. :)

Roughly, but a little bigger.

Hold up, it's lead acid? Surely it's a gel cell. Does it mention anything about keeping it upright?

Nope. It says the cells are sealed.

Oddly, this is familiar to you... as if from an old dream.
