Tiddy-bits:

I wasn't trying to sound ungrateful, it's an okay thing they are doing, but I am skeptical.

I wasn't just talking about you but I did involve your response to it in the post. I'm just pointing out how awful the current state of affairs with tech companies is. When a large company announces that they're going to be giving free Internet to people who are low income that can't afford alternatives because they believe in the Internet being a utility rather than a luxury, everyone immediately reacts with a huge amount of suspicion.

Well, you did just watch Kingsman recently. =p

Oddly, this is familiar to you... as if from an old dream.

I can't imagine it being any more than 10Mbps at the max.

Before, their free (after installation fee) internet was 5Mbps, which rivaled many ISPs that offered only 4Mbps for an exorbitant price.

I wouldn't bitch about 10mbps right now though.

I don't even get 10Mbps most of the time and I pay like $100-150 a month for 30GB.  I would literally suck dicks for free 10Mbps internet.

Ouch. I have CenturyLink and I get 51Mbps download, but I probably live very close to them.

Unfortunately, at my grandmother's house, I only get 4G. I'd love some 10Mbps, myself.
