How to change the default loadout of mp map bloodgultch

Members of Open Carnage never see off-site ads.

It's a dependency in the [scnr] tag. By default it will just be plasma pistol but you can change the next dependency out as well.

Scenario Tag (levels\test\bloodgulch\bloodgulch - scnr) --> Starting Equipment (reflexive)

 

By default, the first one is CTF, and the second one is everything else. Look under the "Type" enum16 values to get what gametype that set of weapons is used for.

 

Though there are six dependencies, you can only have up to four weapons in each set of starting weapons. However, in sets that are used in oddball and CTF, the fourth slot should never be used because it's needed for the objective.

 

You can also toggle "No Grenades" or "Plasma Grenades" if you want to spawn with no grenades or spawn with plasma grenades instead of frag grenades. Up to you.

This only applies to non-CTF gametypes (where you spawn with a plasma pistol). Blood Gulch has two sets of starting weapons: CTF and All Except CTF.

If you switch the weapon set from "default" (plasma pistol on bloodgulch) to "generic", then it ought to use the weapons referenced by the bipd (assault rifle and pistol) regardless of the gametype.

In numbered steps:

1. Open [bipd]characters\cyborg_mp\cyborg_mp

2. Change the two [weap] references to whatever

3. Edit your gametype to use the generic weaponset
