If you get the regular active camo powerup, crouch, then stand up -- would that remove the regular active camo as well?

No. From what I've found, an active camouflage powerup can't be canceled before it wears off.

Updated the script. SAPP changed the way the camo() function worked, breaking it as it was, so I had to update it. It also no longer puts camouflage on players in vehicles.

didnt work for bigass

I have no problems with it on Bigass. Please explain what isn't working as well as what version of Bigass you are using.

No, that is client based. For instance Phoenix has that feature, but only because it is a distributed mod with a new map file for the client.

The setting for it is in the HUD tags (hud_globals? I don't remember with 100% certainty)
