I went out into the forest today to admire the autumn a bit.
Came across this bird sitting in a pond.
Made a photo and now I'm a bit puzzled about the waterline. Took me quite a while to figure out what was wrong.

That's a really cool spot; I like the rockwork that frames the pond.

It's been more than 2 months since I've had work, and I've been going crazy waiting for housing to be available where I've accepted my new job.

 

One of my upcoming assignments will be to plan how to grow this internet provider's network northward, and it's the most challenging terrain I've ever seen. So.. for about a week now I've been working on detailed maps and spreadsheets in preparation; everything I could possibly do remotely.. and now I'm out of stuff.

 

Not getting paid for this time/work but I really need to be doing something. That's why I've also been tinkering with OC a lot more lately.

Not today, I did this over the weekend. I built a slideout for my tools so they don't keep getting rained on.

 

 

I also wired up a deep cycle battery and a 3000 watt inverter. A real problem with doing groundworks is a lack of power on the job site. Especially in Burley, where last week we had to steal power from the funeral home next door to put air in our system for test.

 

 

I'm also in Burley again right now and I brought all her toys (many more not pictured). But of course all she wants to chew on is the trash.

Getting close to taking my CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) exam, so studying for that. It's about in the same league with CISSP, but more focused on the technical. Closing on the end of the course and I am getting into the juicy stuff (SQL Injections, XSS, CSRF, etc). I've found that after I get this cert I want to explore more red team infosec side stuff.
