My pyramid isn't going to build itself, you meat machine. Get back to work.

Also, I just spent three hours this morning mashing circle on my Playstation controller to avoid dying by torture in MGS. I'm not exaggerating, I wasted three whole hours mashing a single button with my thumb, my index finger, my thumb AND my index finger, the wheel of a hot wheels car, my teeth, and a fucking spoon. The spoon is what saved me, and if I ever encounter a button mashing segment in any game ever, I'm pretty sure a spoon can get me through it. If I'm playing on a controller anyway.

I could have also pressed the select button at anytime to give up, but apparently it changes the ending, plus that's just a pussy way out.

Tiddy-bits:

Attempted to pull a rear differential out of a subaru.

We need more pics of the shit you've been doing.

Oddly, this is familiar to you... as if from an old dream.

Sure. I ended up buying a wrecked 99 Forester L(white), a completely rotted out 99 Impreza RS(black), and a clean-ish 99 Impreza L (silver). The car I care about is the silver Impreza, besides the obvious rust on the rear quarters and a little bit on the rockers, the car is more or less rust free. This car is an auto transmission that is pretty much complete except that it is missing a motor. The RS is absolutely fucked, completely rusted out. I could probably break the frame by jumping on it. But it has everything that I need for an auto to manual swap; transmission(113k on it), mounts(will probably have to buy new since the current ones are super rusted out), driveshaft, rear differential, clutch pedal, slave/master cylinders, etc. Maybe a rear drum to disk brake conversion but I really don't want to use any of the brake parts off of this car because they look like shit. The Forester I was planning on taking the motor and ECU out of and dropping into the Impreza. Sadly it got hit so hard that it bent a camshaft, destroyed one of the cam pulleys, and shattered one of the valve covers. The bottom end might be ok but chances are its junk. Good thing is that it came with another engine, which is sitting in the trunk. From what the previous owner told me, it knocked hard and was overheated pretty badly. He sent it out to get rebuilt and when it came back he didn't think that the case was even split. Whoever was supposed to rebuild the motor ended up sending another one and let him keep this one. So chances are I will have to rebuild the motor but that might be ok.

The current plan is to do the auto to manual conversion, drop in a turbo front crossmember, do an engine rebuild using STI rods and pistons (lower the compression and make it more durable under boost), and eventually turbo the shit out of it. That is a long way from now though, still gotta save up some money for the rest of the parts that I will be needing.

Between Saturday and Sunday I was able to pull the intake, exhaust, and ecu off of the Forester and pull the driveshaft out of the RS. The differential mounts were being a bastard and one of the bolts didn't want to let go of the differential. I ended up cutting/unbolting the entire rear support and dropping the differential. Realized I didn't have a prybar to pop the rear axles out so I gave up and will do that next weekend.

I actually had to look that up, you might be right lol. Sadly subaru blocks are not the strongest thing in the world at all, especially the ej253 which is what I have.Hopefully running with ej257 internals will be reliable under boost. Goal is 250hp, which should be more than enough with a car that weighs 2,500 lbs.

Went for a drive last night at dusk to find some Roos (kangaroos) naturally wasn't disappointed, and came across a wombat grazing along the side of the road as well. We continued on to the walking track I love, walked it to the end, returning in pitch darkness, awesome.
