Halo Multi Client

Does anybody have multi client  for Custom Edition that works, or do you know how to get Oxides to work.

 

I can make it work for Combat, but not for CE.

It works fine for me. Are you sure you're using it correctly? There is an old MC that requires command arguments, there is another that simply needs to be in the same directory as the source game executable.

 

IIRC the same multiclient.exe works for both CE and PC, and I use it all the time to help me test on LAN or online games

Do you use the shortcut correctly? i.e. "haloce.exe -console -windowed -novideo -nosound -connect 127.0.0.1:2302 -vidmode 640,480,30"

The version I use requires none of that nonsense. I mean, add it if you want a tiny soundless window of halo, but by default it just opens a new instance of halo with a different hash

That was just an example, the key point (which I probably should've emphasized) was the haloce.exe bit at the start.

I can get it to work on combat evolved, but not on custom edition!

1) Copy the multiclient to your halo pc and halo ce directories
2) create a shortcut to reference the new multiclient location:

PC:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Halo\Multiclient.exe" halo.exe

CE:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\Multiclient.exe" haloce.exe

3) add any command line arguments you want

I do appreciate this as a development tool.  Using a command line like:  -connect 192.168.1.8:2302,  I can then run as many muticlients connecting to my server as I want to emulate a full server, or simply to test functions I make in scripts.
