Check to make sure the fan on your card is physically spinning

It is, but I made a terrible discovery while looking. The CPU fan is not spinning.

also, have you cleared the CMOS?

Nope.

Tiddy-bits:

O.O

Could be your troubles right there.

Nope.

Try it, if fixing your CPU doesn't solve the problem.

Oddly, this is familiar to you... as if from an old dream.

The fan was working perfectly before I installed the new CPU, it's a 4pin fan. I just cleared the BIOS and it automatically started up (A feature usually on by default), but the fan still isn't spinning.

It's often too easy to plug it in backwards when it comes to those fans. Try at the least, reseating the connection.

The information I looked at earlier was wrong. The page I found wasn't for my motherboard, but was actually for a board 99% similar to mine. Here's the one for my board: http://h10025.www1.h...4〈=en&lc=en

Supports the following processors:

Pentium D 800 series

Smithfield Core - up to 3.2 GHz

Pentium 4 600 series - up to 670 Prescott core

Pentium 4 500 series - up to 580 Prescott core

Time to build a new system I guess.
