Beautiful! I'll have to look into the config file a bit more, I feel like little tweaks like this can make the game look much better without any fancy graphic work on the game or maps themselves. When added together though it could be a wonderful land of not-2003 graphics.

I've looked into other neat tweaks in that file, but unfortunately I didn't really find anything else worth noting =\

Oddly, this is familiar to you... as if from an old dream.

I remember when Dirk posted this tutorial on MH.

Mine's better, clearly =p

I got AF enabled on my system by adding the line:

0x6798 = "AMD Radeon 7970 GHz"  <------You can name your card whatever really ie. "GeForce GTX TITAN Z"

              UseAnisotropicFilter

to my settings file.
I pulled my cards Hex ID from the popup box that appears after halo exits incorrectly ie. "do you want to continue in safe mode" etc.
I'm also looking into forcing shader models through this ini as well as any other "arguments" to keep them out of the short-cut launch options, keeping things  a bit cleaner.

An approach certainly worth mentioning, I'd imagine it opens doors for further customization. Let us know how your further progress goes.

At the moment im looking at fiddling with the following:
// MaximumResolution

// DisableBuffering

// ForceShader

// HeadRelativeSpeech

Currently, i've had no problems with running halo using 2.1 shader models after adding the following after removing the "-Use21" parameter from my launch shortcut:

0x6798 = "AMD Radeon 7970 GHz"
              UseAnisotropicFilter
              ForceShader=21

I'm looking at the // MaximumResolution parameter next and will report findings. may start my own thread at this point (yay)
