Xbox Disconnect

16 posts in this topic

For the past month I've had several problems with my Xbox, one of them being NAT settings which have since been fixed. The main problem i'm having at them moment is when i join someone in a game, party or anything involved with another Xbox, i disconnect 30 seconds later.

E: 30% of the time, my xbox freezes up like a bitch when disconnecting.

Tiddy-bits:

You said you have terrible internet. Having a terrible connection can lead to your disconnecting.

Although, your freezing can occur because of dieing hardware.

It only disconnects the once. If it was my internet, it would more than likely disconnect multiple times.

Try to ping your Xbox from your PC to see if it responds. Post results.

Have you tried updating your Xbox?

Was it turned on when you pinged it? (I'd assume it was, but just have to ask).

If this is what you're getting while it's turned on, then your Xbox network interface is most likely dying on you.

Does it work fine while trying to play single player games?

Most likely a failing network interface on the board. I would look into sending it in if at all possible to see if they just need to replace the board on the Xbox.
