Posted June 4, 2021 Finished The 100 - I feel it was season finale. Worth watching, meh, ties up a lot of loose ends but over dramatic I feel. Currently watching Oldboy - it started slow but getting into it now Enclusion likes this https://www.twitch.tv/krazychic

Currently watching Oldboy - it started slow but getting into it now I liked The 100 overall but was disappointed by the final story and ending. Spoils: Spoiler I felt that the ending "transcendence" thing was basically the same as the city of light but magic this time. Felt very rushed and just didn't fit. What were your thoughts on all that? Edited June 4, 2021 by Enclusion Krazychic likes this

What were your thoughts on all that? Pretty much the same. I expected more in the final episode, it seemed a huge build up over nothing. I reckon the cast were just as tired as the series became. 13 hours ago, Krazychic said: Currently watching Oldboy - it started slow but getting into it now OMG the plot twist at the end was not expected. I slowly put pieces together as I got further into it but never expected the outcome. Worth watching imo. Posted September 29, 2021 (edited) For context: I love Dune, as does my brother. I've read the first book countless times and the rest of the (Frank, not Brian) series only once, which I think is a fair reflection on the quality. My brother lives in Paris where Dune has already opened. UK showings don't start until October 22nd. In the space of one week he: 1) Went to see the movie 2) Sent me effusive praise for it (while not-so-lightly gloating that he had seen it) 3) Re-read Dune and Children of Dune This morning, without commentary, he sent me a picture of a ticket stub for Dune, printed yesterday afternoon. I am untethered. My rage knows no bounds. Edited September 29, 2021 by Calypso grammar Takka and tarikja like this
Posted October 23, 2021 Got the wife to watch LoTR for the first time, and she's enjoying it! Also saw Dune today. Oddly, this is familiar to you... as if from an old dream.

When I told my wife I was stoked for the new Dune movie she asked "What's Dune?" and I was like Edited October 23, 2021 by Sunstriker7
Posted October 23, 2021 She hadn't! She thought she wouldn't like it. It was stunning, though mostly felt like a setup for the next movies. Sunstriker7 likes this Oddly, this is familiar to you... as if from an old dream.
