It probably wouldn't be that hard to write one in PHP or something and add it on yourself; I wouldn't be committed enough to do that though. I do leave and count my losses but usually only until my urge to say it outweighs my frustration at retyping it.

IPB4 is coming soonTM enough, so workarounds shouldn't be necessary for much longer. I know I've been teasing it for a while, but it will be here sooner than you'd think.

Is there a way of tagging a person in a post, like you can on faceache? Or would that be really annoying....

With only a few moments to google it, tagging users looks to be a feature added to the newer ipb4.x. I am sure @tucker can confirm as he has more experience with the software.

That's right. Tagging and numerous other features and improvements that you guys will definitely like are completely standard in IP.Board 4.

If you want to try them out, there is a free demo of the software at https://invisionpower.com/demo that I encourage everyone to try.

Tucker says the site will probably be offline for a short while.

Probably most of the day.

Gotta take the site offline so no one can post while I back everything up (3hrs), uninstall modifications (30min), upload the base update (1hr), run the update (1hr), rebuild content (3hrs), install modifications (1hr), and tune everything (at least 2hrs).

I've made a 26-step checklist to go through before the site even comes back online lol it's going to be a long day.
