Posted March 6, 2017 Just added some extra info to the OP, mostly to clarify some things about the raffle. Oddly, this is familiar to you... as if from an old dream.
Posted March 18, 2017 The add-a-smiley menu button seems to be missing again in the post editor. ? IIII
Posted March 18, 2017 Saving room by removing the less used/important buttons. If you guys want it back, post so here. Oddly, this is familiar to you... as if from an old dream.
Posted March 18, 2017 Well, I would want it back because I don't have every smiley and its code memorized. Also: "Saving room" Half the bar is empty! For what are you saving room? IIII

Room on that bar is an issue on smaller devices Kavawuvi likes this Oddly, this is familiar to you... as if from an old dream.
Posted March 18, 2017 If you don't plan on (re-)adding the smiley-button then how about you document the smiley-commands somewhere? Like the FAQ for example. It would be better than having the smileys/ emojis as a de facto hidden 'feature' (certain text combinations converting automatically into a pictogram is not always desirable). Even though this would be a rather unintuitive way to deal with them instead of just having something like, I don't know, a button or so in the editor... just saying... Posted March 18, 2017 I just can't really justify removing any of the current buttons on the editor to make room for it, particularly as it doesn't appear to be something people used much. If enough post here saying they liked having it, I'll replace one of the buttons with it. Oddly, this is familiar to you... as if from an old dream.
Posted March 18, 2017 Why would you need to remove one button to add another? You could also reduce the space between each button. Just look at the first four menu points (B I U S): One could reduce the width for nearly a third of the current space because of these rather huge gaps. Do that with the entire menu and you can at least fit one more button in the bar. I would find it also interesting to know what UI-policies do not allow to have more than 19 menu-buttons or what the maximum width of the editor-bar is (in pixels). oO IIII

I can edit the cache for the editor pretty easily, but that's just going to get overwritten. 7 minutes ago, tarikja said: I would find it also interesting to know what UI-policies do not allow to have more than 19 menu-buttons or what the maximum width of the editor-bar is (in pixels). oO It can contain more, but it visually breaks down if you have too many. Posted May 31, 2017 On IPB3, you could select a color and enter your own color, and that second functionality seems to not be present here. The color picker does have 41 colors, but out of 41 colors, only 12 of them are actually useful. The rest are either hard/annoying to read or, with the bottom row, they're so close to white you may as well just use white. Basically, colors like red are useless because of the gimped color picker. There are a few ways to get a custom font color: Inspect element and use my own <span> or <p> tag Edit my text in a word processor and paste it back in BBCode I'm hoping that I didn't miss something.
