Custom Smiley Set?

18 posts in this topic

May I suggest that The Administration consider adding a new smiley set? The default set is nice and all, but it would add to the feeling of a customized forum. :)

Tiddy-bits:

Hard to find a decent set that's cut nicely, most are made for light/white backgrounds.

If you or anyone has a set in mind or can find one, I'll definitely consider it.

Oddly, this is familiar to you... as if from an old dream.

I spent a good amount of time making a phpbb smilie pack look good against black for a project. Can be found here, I think they look rather swell.

Thanks man, but that's not really of the quality level I would be looking for and aside from that they really aren't any different from what we currently have.

You know how some smileys are automatically converted from text, like :D is ": D" without the space in the middle?

But some other smileys are :something:, like :angry: is ": angry :"?

I think that "B )" shouldn't automatically convert to <img src="http://www.opencarnage.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/cool.png" class="bbc_emoticon" alt="B)">, because it messes up my bullet points like so:

A)

:cool:

C)

D)

It should be something else like ":sunglasses:". The name doesn't really matter, since most people probably just click on the smiley they want anyways.

Good suggestion, changed it. I went with :cooI: instead because it's shorter and that's what was titled.

Thanks =]
