Presidential Debate Thread

Tiddy-bits:

So that somehow makes it okay? For the moderator of a debate to do this?

Do what exactly? It's a play on words that is able to be pushed either direction, by valuing or devaluing an implicational sentence. There is truth either way. While Obama did not specifically state, in a direct fashion, whether or not he thought anything was "an act of terror", it was majorly implied. Implying something isn't enough however, but in this case a subject matter is included and it is enough to push the point. Simply because it wasn't challenged is definitely no grounds to say there was wrongdoing, as inaction in this case doesn't amount to any kind of resolution or definition.

You can see either point any way you like, that doesn't make someone a liar.

All the moderator did was add pertinent information to clarify a stalemate, rather than voters being unable to discern whom was telling the truth. Really, it only proved a majority of what Romney says is unfounded bullcrap, probably why so many Reps are getting pissy over it.

As far as administration goes, the only argument Romney really has is "oh hey gais, shit sucked these last four years", when in fact the national debt has been an ongoing thing since the dawn of the Revolutionary War, not helped by recent economic and environmental crisises or the entire country's reliance on the federal reserve. It doubtlessly reached a high during Obama's administration, but I don't think we've seen the peak.

Voting Romney will only expedite the process.

Fair enough.

There are fundamental flaws within the current system, but this isn't the thread to discuss them, I wouldn't think.
