Here is a section of the silent cartographer being played. I suck at playing the campaign, and for some reason, it goes to legendary difficulty by default.

edit: I may upload a full version of the level, soon, since this is a pretty short level.

Yeah yeah yeah Eschaton is pretty nifty and all, but can it do Meta Swaps? Didn't think so.

If it's an iPhone chances are it'll be dead before you convince the carrier to track it. Those things have like what, a 12 second battery life? Don't see how any way you're tracking a phone once it's lost power.
Best of luck though, hopefully you'll be able to get it back.

I remember when you said this would be done and released last August.

Maybe by next august? Philly could give you some tips on wrapping up a project...

I know right? I hadn't really delved into the "will it be shit but pretty?" question until well after that deadline anyway. In all reality though, all I have left to do are some minor tweaks to balancing, and just pump out the rest of the maps visually.

I'm going to forego any more additions to the tagset, and I likely won't bother redoing the HUD. I'm tired of messing with this project and it's time to just push it out once it's to an acceptable release level.

All you need to know is that no one's [insert positive adjetive here] like Gaston. No matter what it is you do best, Gaston can do it better, and will do it better.

Bahh you got me there. I readily admit to completely forgetting about Super Mario Kart, I was referring to Mario Kart 64.
I also agree on the GC deal, I think Nintendo dropped the ball on Kart and Super Smash.  While Melee was probably the best Smash game engine-wise, they made the mistake of "Hey if we just keep adding characters, that makes the game better right?". So we get carbon-copies of 1/3 of the characters in the game, with the clone or the original being vastly superior (Fox vs Falco, Gannondorf vs Falcon, Link vs Young Link, Pikachu vs Pichu, Mario vs Luigi, etc.) And then we get a half dozen characters that are awful (Ice Climbers, Mr. Game and Watch, etc.).
Instead of adding a dozen terrible characters and a dozen awful maps, why not fix some of the content you already have? Instead of making purposeful content, they just flood you with it.

    I can't think of a time I've ever legally purchased a movie.
The last one I can remember buying was a pirated version of American Gangster a few weeks before it came out in theatres.

You're all making this overly complex.
You have the sentinels, they already do this. They work perfectly as is in this case.
Take the sentinel biped, swap out the model/animations for Guilty Spark. Then edit the beam to your liking for bitmaps/damage. Done.
If you're doing this in a custom map using CE, you'll need to set that Encounter to use 3D firing positions of course, but that's getting too complex to explain quickly.
If you're doing it in PC, you should go learn CE. Well really, you shouldn't as it's over a dozen years old.

If you're not a lackwit there's really no need to ever update a PC. If you're computer illiterate and actually manage to get viruses, it may be worth having the most recent version. I really don't understand how people manage to get viruses though, you have to be really really dumb. Full retard status.

.gifv vs webm vs mp4.....this sounds so familiar somehow.

While I have you guys here though, should I get a Blu-ray, or an HD-DVD player?

Because I had settled for VHS back in the day but always thought "Man, maybe Betamax was the way to go". But after buying a Sony Mini-Disc player to replace my compact-cassette player I was always a little nervous that maybe all these formats were a bunch of bullshit. I guess I really should have learned after that whole "7 vs 12 inch Vinyl" thing back in the day.

But what's complex about the internet is that you really need to invest in a single type of technology and rely solely on it, just like a media player in the real world. It might seem crazy, so bear with me, but there's no possible way you can easily support all of them at once. Just can't be done, no way no how. No matter if you add another 12 lines of code, won't change a thing don't bother trying.

So, obviously, we should pretend that some extension is better than another and then just completely leave some out because they're "not the real extensions". Because when I find something that I want to quickly post to share, nothing is more encouraging then having to spend 5-10 minutes looking up how to change a .gifv to a .webm.

    I wrote all that in Comic-Sans cause that's my sarcasm-font. <3

Dunno why this is shocking. KF2 is a modern unreal-based game that comes with all the tools, supports steam workshop (before release) and had a precursor that lived for many years. Not to mention it's pretty fun.

Technically speaking, and without having tested it, you can remove the LODs using Kornman without ever touching 3DS max.
Go into the LOD dropdown section for each Region and note which are not "Super-High", then delete the Geometries that were originally under that section. You then have to reassign the LODs as it auto-adjusts the Geometry number.
    For example, the stock Warthog's Hull uses geometries 1, 4, 7 and 10. Barrels use 0, 3, 6 and 9. Tires are 2, 5 8 and 11.
    The Barrels and Tires also use a blur permutation. These are 16, 17, 18, 19 and 9; 12, 13, 14 15 and 11 respectively. Numbers 9 and 11 aren't truly used as they're copies of the non-blur super-low perm.
You would delete the Geometries from 17-19, 13-15, and then 3-11. You have to be careful, as they'll auto-change the numbers, so be sure to triple check as you go through.
    You'll be left with 0-Chaingun, 1-Hull, 2-Tires, 3-Tires (the blur) and 4-Chaingun (the blur)
Back in Permutations, Barrels Base must be set to all 0, Barrels blur to 4. Hull should be 1, Tires 2 and Tires blur to 3.
This should properly remove the extra LOD's from the model using only Kornman. It's more difficult and complex for something like this (a vehicle) then some of the basic models which only have 1 part with multiple LOD's.
Edit: Additionally, if it's something like the 3rd Person Plasma Rifle you can also delete the reference to the LOD shaders. The PR and some other tags have LOD's that use a separate, lower res shader alongside the low-poly model. If you remove all the low-poly LOD's, there's no need to still reference the LOD shaders, of course.

Been doing me good for right about 15 years now. I can highly recommend it for durability and usability. And better yet, it has 3 sets of backlights that are signals for the 'lock' keys, THAT WAY YOU CAN TELL WHEN YOU'VE LEFT CAPLOCKS ON BY MISTAKE.
A perfect match for your needs.
