@Enclusion At the time of this post, here's what the stats on Steam look like: Current 8,176 Peak 9,213 They are adding in crossplay soon which should boost the numbers quite a bit. I've only really been looking for H3 recently and it's incredibly easy to find a match in that. Although, honestly, I've always been able to find matches easily in all the games while others have reported difficulties.

When none of your gaming hardware has been available to you so you have to resort to something you would otherwise never touch to get your FPS fix I’m living the nightmare

I would have participated in spooky screenshots if I had my desktop or any consoles available right now. If we move in to our new house in time, I’ll get one.

With HAC2 not working for the past couple days, I decided to see what Halo PC was like to play in a vanilla state because I haven't seen it that way in... well, over a decade. I decided to remove Chimera and play on a fairly vanilla server without the no lead SAPP script. It's hard to believe that any of us ever loved this game the way it was out of the box. The Halo PC experience that exists now relies on the efforts that the community has made to make this game playable and I think this serves as a reminder to be thankful to all the people who helped shape the game as it is today. So, a big thank you to @Btcc22, @002, and @sehe. Here's a video of myself playing vanilla Halo PC:

Halo CE is a free standalone for Halo PC, released in 2004, which was created for the creation/play of custom multiplayer/singleplayer maps. Installation will require a key for the full version of Halo PC. Halo Custom Edition 1.0 - 1.10 patch Chimera is also available for download, which adds to the game's features and decrease its limitations.

OC’s Minecraft server was how I originally got to know the community. Glad to see someone hosting one again. I might swing by at some point.

I can’t imagine running anything with less than 8GB in today’s environment unless it was running Linux. Windows + Chrome would eat 4gb instantly let alone 1gb.

If HAC2 gets destroyed by Chimera being a better value add then it’s saving Halo CE; not destroying it. As Kava put it in the OP, the auto updater causing the game to crash on boot if the servers are down legitimately destroys HCE’s population already. Mind you, this is coming from someone who labeled themselves “Lead Cheerleader” for HAC2 back when it was in development. Side note: If sal hadn’t taken an open source project that he didn’t even create and make it closed source, someone else could’ve fixed it for him by now.

Heard that game got better over time. I’m sure it still doesn’t live up to half of what that guy promises lol

Modders using protection to make sure other modders don’t use the tags they made by modding someone else’s tags in a game that was designed by someone else. Brilliant!
