I've recently gone through something similar, but the reading glasses they gave me (I was told specifically to use them when sitting at a computer) get too blurry at the distance I sit from my PC. Despite getting used to them I was still having headaches, so I went to get an MRI. Still waiting on the results for that, though. Worth noting I didn't have eye strain until I got the glasses.

I don't think I've ever posted in here, but it was Sceny's fault.

Honestly if the converted map is otherwise unmodified and there's no way to contact the original author I don't see why they shouldn't be preserved. If the original author comes back and requests it be taken down (as long as they're verified to be who they say they are) that should be no problem either.
