Refusing to support software when the dev is a dick is a valid reason.

    Back from camping
First night we had a crazy thunderstorm and our tent collapsed. So we started drinking at 4am at the the bathrooms. Speaking of bathrooms, for a campground they were really nice. Cleaned every morning. Other than that it was crazy waves at the beach and all day drinking.

    Fun stuff.
    Burnt too shit tho

edit: fishing also sucked -1 for the trip.

Anyone looking to learn a language should check out anki. Flashcards are an effective way to learn but you also need to hear the language spoken and practice speaking it yourself. A great way to do both is to sing.

    I can't think of a time I've ever legally purchased a movie.
The last one I can remember buying was a pirated version of American Gangster a few weeks before it came out in theatres.

Exactly, people are expecting something different. They're expecting something modern as its probably all they know. Personally speaking, when I hear about an older RPG I don't expect it to play anything like Dark Souls, Skyrim, The Witcher, or Mass Effect. I only expect that of modern RPGs as video games have been refined. If you start playing Morrowind and expect something that plays like a modern RPG it would be your fault for being an idiot.

That said, is it a horrible mechanic? Yes and no. Yes because there were games that had better gameplay at the time of Morrowinds release. No because it literally only affects you for the beginning of the game. Soon you're jumping over mountains, are faster than the Flash, using magic that burns cities, or an enchantment that can kill everything in a dungeon, and yes striking with every attack.

It's 100% rng and spamming left click. Every game since Morrowind, Fallouts included, functions essentially the same. Bethesda's gameplay is just not great and that I think would be the core issue.

Missing in Morrowind represented actually missing and dodging. There's a reason for this (engine limitations, developer incompetence, whatever) so dice rolls were chosen instead, something people were likely used to at the time.A perfectly reasonable alternative.

Which brings me to the one thing people seem to forget about video games is their age. The older a game is the clunkier it will be. Not a rule, just a guideline. Which just means people had the wrong expectations. That is not the games fault.

I 100% agree. Skyrim is a very flawed but accessible game.

It really is true as dumbing down is not a new thing. Dumbing video games down makes them more accessible which means more dosh as video games are a business. It's why it happens.

This very well could be the largest post Ive ever written and it aint even that big.

Edit: Final note. Instead of adding actual dodging(animations, actual mechanic, and what not) for creatures and people, Bethesda just cut it and left their games as left click fests.

    edit2: for shits and giggles
