I've had a look through every map, so I thought I would write a few quick notes about each of them.

    Verdeel
I would have more in depth notes of this map, but unfortunately I seemed to be glued to walls and floors half of the time. The design also felt rather jarring with the Forerunner and human infrastructure clashing about the place. I feel I can't really comment much more on this entry until the glue issue is fixed.

    Cliffhanger (TBC)
    Yeah, it's alright.

    Gorge
I had some fun storming Covenant bunkers, and the map does fit in perfectly with the aesthetic of Halo CE. If we had a means to choose more than one submission like in the Eurovision, this would have definitely been my third pick. My only faults with the map are the lack of health packs, as running around for an hour with a single health bar can be a bit tedious. As well as this, a clear objective and a means to end the mission would be grand. Aside from this, very good in terms of level design and appearance.

    Homefront
A beautiful map that is great to play on and explore. Being a fan of ODST, this map perfectly fits the feel of New Mombasa, from the dark stormy weather to the environment of the burning city. I love the phantom that occasionally flies through the map. I was torn between this and Dynamis to be my pick, but my bias for ODST kicked in and Homefront got my vote. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out ShmeeGrim turned out to be a Bungie dev posing as a fan.

    Dynamis
I loved both playing on and exploring this map. The design and layout is amazing for competitive game modes, and from a visual point of view. I was fascinated by the skybox with the carrier hanging in the sky with the shining moon, and I'm fairly sure I noticed the Damnation remake sat deep in an icy crevice somewhere. Again, I wouldn't be surprised if killzone64 is another Bungie dev.

    Inferno
I noticed a slight change in Brute behaviour, they seemed to be more aggressive than I remember. I didn't like Jackals using snipers, they were deadly enough with the beam rifles dammit! I liked the additional allies provided in the Firefight maps as it helped to make it seem like an actual human force was fighting back an invasion, instead of just a lone or small group of ODSTs. A few of the weapon tweaks, as far as I noticed, only really changed the ammo counts.

As some of you may know, I made an ODST mod called ODST: Feet First into Hell a while ago. Well, now that ODST mod tools are now out, I'm remaking that mod, now under the branding of ODST: Inferno (I don't think the old name was doing the mod any favors in terms of clarity, recognition, etc.). Because the map contest is coinciding with my dev and remaking process, I decided to release something for it. Since the contest only allows one map, I was recommended to release Mombasa Streets due to all it covers. My mod covers the entire campaign, but for this thread, only one of the maps will be shown off here (it's just as well. The mod is still indev.).

Anyways, what is ODST: Inferno you may ask? Well, you may look here: https://www.nexusmods.com/halothemasterchiefcollection/mods/858/?tab=description (don't download anything here. It's old and broken.) for some information, but how about I give you some information anyways?

ODST: Inferno is a mod that covers the full Halo 3: ODST campaign and Firefight experience. Notable features include:
Drastically improved AI, both friendly and enemy. Brutes are noticeably improved. More diversified AI. Actors have a bit more defined personalities and more variance in behavior. Rebalanced "sandbox" and general game. Elements that weren't so great have been buffed or changed in various ways. Elements that where too overpowered have been nerfed in various ways. Some added or revised encounters. Notably, there are more Hunters and some Covenant troops in the campaign can be found wielding human weapons. Some cut encounters have also been restored. Some continuity changes. Some simple continuity errors have been fixed and/or addressed. Reviver allies will assist you in the first 4 flashback missions and most Firefight maps (with boons on). These are allies that act like the Arbiter or Johnson in Halo 3. The Firefight revivers are from my Halo 3 mod Yet Another Halo 3 Revamp (or YAH3R). Generic allies have been added to Firefight maps that lacked them. (If you have boons on). A mod that isn't generally too crazy on the changes. Balanced and intended to be played on Legendary. Etc.
    Caveats:
The mod is still indev. So as such not everything might be as finally intended. Things might also get changed later down the line. The Tilt skull does nothing special right now. I have yet to make its damage table. It's just a copy of the normal one. You're only getting one map of all of them. Still, you can roam the streets of Mombasa and play two Firefight maps (the night versions of Crater and Rally Point), so you should be able to get a feel for the mod. Etc.
With all this, I hope you enjoy the mod. Again, it's balanced around Legendary.... though try not to die too much. >:)

Finally got my ODST mod released, ODST: Feet First into Hell: https://www.nexusmods.com/halothemasterchiefcollection/mods/858 . It's a rather simple mod that edits the AI and gives "less effective" weapons buffs and/or new niches. And more. Full campaign is supported. Brutes in particular are rather scary in this mod. Hope you enjoy it.

More information about the mod is on the mod page and in its readme (attached to the post).

Cliffhanger is a custom made multiplayer map for Halo: Combat Evolved! A big team battle map, Cliffhanger makes use of Warthogs, Ghosts and Banshees to control a circuit around the map, while players can fight on foot in interior structures away from the vehicular carnage.

The map is still in the process of being finished, as I have yet to fully texture portions of the map. However, the map works and is available to play right now, so let me know what you think and I shall make changes where possible. The finished product shall be here at some point, as I'm a little distracted with other projects at the moment.

This is my second custom made Halo CE map, and I am still learning the ropes, so if you have any Halo modding knowledge feel free to give me some advice!

Some YT footage from months ago:

PS I know that there is already a map called Cliffhanger, so if I or anyone else can think of a clever name for this one I'll rename it. Ta.

Homefront is a small to mid-sized asymmetrical BTB map set in New Mombasa, built for One-Flag CTF and other attack/defend modes. The map is designed to offer players a frenetic gameplay experience, with a balance of close-quarters infantry combat in interior sections and chaotic vehicular combat in the streets.

The weapon, equipment, and vehicle set on the map include the following:
    8 Battle Rifles
    4 Assault Rifles
    2 Automags
    6 Silenced SMGs
    2 Carbines
    2 Brute Plasma Rifles
    2 Plasma Pistols

Conflux is a symmetrical competitive map set in a Forerunner facility on the edge of a cliff. It was designed with a "tug of war" style of flow, where team positioning and careful movement through the center are emphasized.

Teams start the match facing the center platform in the main atrium, with the base of a large beam emitter blocking the line of sight from spawn to spawn. Each team spawn has a large doorway in the middle, with a direct line of sight from the center platform. Walking through this doorway will lead you to a deployable Grav Lift, followed by a one-way drop-down to the center floor. From here, players can move to take the Overshield or move to the gold lift that will take them up to a raised platform that overlooks the center platform.

Each team's base has one middle room flanked by an elevated room that grants them access to the center platform and a lower room that will lead them to the gold lift. Each team will find a Sniper Rifle in this lower room. Looking towards the back of the lower room, players will find a doorway leading to another room with a long, "elbow" shaped ramp leading them up to a bridge that will take them back to their spawn or to a hallway that leads to the top of the gold lift.

Players that move to the elevated room in their base will find a small platform that overlooks their side of the central atrium, which they can also use to jump to the center platform. In this same area, players will another overlook that has dominance over an overhang on the cliffside that runs the length of the map. At the center of this location is a man cannon that players can use to launch themselves to the center platform. The Overshield spawns just in front of the man cannon.

The map is designed primarily for CTF and Slayer, although it supports all of the default Halo 3 gametypes.

The weapon and equipment set on the map include the following:
    3 Battle Rifles per side.
    2 Assault Rifles per side.
2 Brute Plasma Rifles per side.
    2 SMGs per side.
    1 Auto Mag per side.
    1 Sniper Rifle per side.
1 Deployable Grav Lift per side.
1 Sentinel Beam under the center platform.
1 Gravity Hammer on the center platform.
1 Power Drain at the gold lift.
1 Bubble Shield at the man cannon.
1 Overshield between the man cannon and the center platform.

    How to install and play:
-Navigate to the install location of Halo: The Master Chief Collection
-Go to the Halo 3 folder, and then the maps folder
-Backup the file called docks.map by either renaming it, or moving it to another folder
-Drag the new docks.map file into the maps folder
-Select the map Longshore in Custom Games or Forge to play
  8. King Feraligatr liked a post in a topic by killzone64 in Dynamis a halo 3 pvp map.
Introducing: Dynamis! A Covenant-themed Halo 3 map inspired by the forge map select.

This map has been a long time in the making. The original versions of the map date all the way back to 2015 for Halo: Custom Edition. I made a bunch of edits to the model to fix spawn trapping issues and ended up never testing it in game because the base design I had really didn't play well. A year ago the model found its way back onto my radar and I decided to polish it up for the impending Halo 3 tools release after deciding I liked the changes I had made back in 2017.

I originally took inspiration from the forge map select from halo reach. The only part that remains similar is the center bridge and the side bridges that connect. The rest of the map is completely different and fixes a lot of the issues I had with how select plays.

Special Thanks to Fritzster and ShmeeGrim for help with weapon placement and the halo 3 spawn system. And LudusRegard for help on the uv and texure work

Gorge is a single player map for Halo CE. It's the fist level of the custom campaign I've been working on. It's designed to fit the stock CE aesthetic while still having lots of custom weapons and some custom enemies. Legendary difficulty is recommended, since that's what I balanced it around and tested on.

With all this, I hope you enjoy the mod. Again, it's balanced around Legendary.... though try not to die too much. >:)

I've finally done it. After years of on and off working, I've finally gotten my Halo 1 mod to a releasable state! Link: https://www.moddb.com/mods/kfs-halo-1-mod
    DL Link: https://www.moddb.com/downloads/start/230030

    Description (copied from mod page):
(REQUIRES OPEN SAUCE) A simple revamp of Halo 1's campaign featuring improved friendlies, revised encounters, simple weapon rebalances, an extra weapon, and more. All without going too crazy on the changes and additions.

    More detailed features:
Improved friendly AI, including immortal/invincible ones at certain points. Simple weapon rebalances. Revised encounters. Touched up enemy AI. An extra weapon: a Focus Rifle based on SPV3. Health regeneration for Master Chief and drivable Covenant vehicles up to 33.4%. Some error and/or continuity fixes. Some added encounters. A faster introduction curve. Covenant in the Library. A mod balanced around Legendary. A mod that doesn't go too crazy with the changes, generally. Completely standalone maps. Won't replace any existing maps (almost certainly). And more. As stated before, this mod absolutely needs Open Sauce to be played. I might change this in the far future, if needed, but them's the breaks. Please read the readme for more detailed changes and the like.

    Installation:
    1. First, make sure you have Open Sauce installed. It is absolutely necessary to play the mod.
    2. Extract all the .yelo files to your Custom Edition install’s “maps” folder.
    3. Boot up Halo Custom Edition with console commands and devmode enabled.
    4. Use “game_difficulty_set <difficulty>” in the console to set the difficulty of your choice. Difficulty settings.
easy = Easy normal = Normal (default) hard = Heroic (minimum recommended difficulty) impossible = Legendary (recommended difficulty) 5. Use “map_name <map file name without extension>” in the console to load up the level of your choice. Campaign is self contained should not replace the original levels. Using “map_name” with the same difficulty you last played on will resume your progress on a given level, assuming you have not triggered a checkpoint on some other level. Map names:
    am_a10_rm_campaign = The Pillar of Autumn am_a30_rm_campaign = Halo am_a50_rm_campaign = Truth and Reconciliation am_b30_rm_campaign = The Silent Cartographer am_b40_rm_campaign = Assault on the Control Room am_c10_rm_campaign = 343 Guilty Spark am_c20_rm_campaign = The Library am_c40_rm_campaign = Two Betrayals am_d20_rm_campaign = Keyes am_d40_rm_campaign = The Maw 6. Enjoy.

    Uninstallation:
Delete the mod’s .yelo files from your Custom Edition install’s “maps” folder. That is all.
