  1. Let's not forget that it's hypothesized that upto 4.1% of death row inmates are actually innocent, in the USA.
  2. It is Pathetic, and something I actually fear. You should see the looks I get just taking my kids into the parents room at Fountain Gate or Chadstone! I almost feeling like telling those who do it 'It's a freaking parents room! Not 'mothers' room' Guh.
  3. Oh wow! Which area, I'm in Casey...But I probably won't get more specific than that.
  4. Are you from Victoria too? Where!?
  5. South East, tbh I was being silly - we didn't really bare the brunt of it. It was damn cold and wet though.
  6. It's not so much about the want to help, it's about the human need to help. You can go on with the 'these people don't assimilate' (old, tired and proven wrong time and time again by many factors - one such being the comparative success generally academically and in employment of those from such back grounds) but you have to realise that when you're painting 99% with the brush of less than 1% there's a major flaw in your argument. You are literally highlighting the crimes of one group, which in general has a lower crime rate, and actively hiding the crimes of the native population to come to this conclusion. This is an intellectually and factually dishonest representation that has been put forth, generally by the far right and dare I say, racist groups within populations as a tactic of scare mongering. It's like if I was to throw a hissy fit about seeing middle aged white men at the mall - statistically BY FAR the most likely group to be a rapist, paedophile or spree/serial killer. But I don't do that, as I don't base my opinion on people on absolutely nothing unrelated to the fact that every individual has their own nature. I also don't have the same agenda against the aforementioned that some people for some reason have against refugees. As for the refugee experience. I think my family are doing quite fine in Australia though. So far (since 1998) no one has committed a crime, and have generally been academic over achievers...And we're not the minority in our community. Also, don't give me the BS about 'refugees sticking to their own', take it from someone within and active in a refugee minority population. That's not the case, it's just many of the native population do not want refugees based on the utterly asinine rhetoric you've spewed in your post - it's not all, but generally the ones with the 'refugees don't belong here' mind set, who want nothing to do with refugees (or ethnic minorities) blaming said refugees for not being able to interact with them... Maybe you need to like, get out into the world a bit more and interact with local refugees. You might learn a thing or two, dude.
  7. Well, actually it's like this: http://www.news.com.au/national/victoria/news/melbourne-braced-for-wild-finish-to-weekend-with-storm-alerts/news-story/95d61bd460fcdb41e4ab4629f5b4c2be
  8. Wasted it, until it's time for me to leave for work in like half an hour.
  9. People have the right to choose whether their life is worth their country - I personally wouldn't give my life for any country because that's bullshit. It's not my war, I'm an individual who just wants to live my life with my family in peace, and my priority over 'being a hero' would be getting my children the hell out of a desperate situation where they can live a good life. These people, REGARDLESS of who they are tor the demographic they belong to have the right to choose life, safety and asylum and the nationalistic attacks from people with plush lifestyles against that are ridiculous. Count your blessings that you're not in their situation rather than judging their approach to it. Right, and you are most likely killed...And you've left your family in a war zone. Well done. Seriously, the priority would be bringing your loved ones to safety if you were actually in the situation. The odds of your heroism leading to anything more than your death and their abandonment are far too great to risk, if you actually care about them. Generation aside. (Disclaimer; I'm not saying your view is right or wrong, btw. I'm just saying, it's against your instincts and probably futile.)
  10. Mine was in my parents backyard, and I'd say I'd have been about three or so. Basically, I tried to pat a bee and wound up getting stung because derpy toddler.
  11. I don't know much about the air strikes, as I've not been able to look into them without my heart hurting. I just pray for Syria to find the peace it knew in recent history
  12. In 2008 I severed my left index finger. That was pretty brutal. What do you guys have?
  13. I know right...Just wait until he leaves the 'u' out of colour, or something ridiculous like that.
  14. Okay guys, fess up. What ridiculous stuff are you all scared of? For me there's three things. 1. Snakes. 2. Heights. 3. Open Water (where land is not swimming distance.)
  15. Wow. That's actually really trippy! We're talking early toddlerhood here? Wow. That's actually really cool. Have you quoted what he said back to him verbatim?
  16. I haven't lost any motion - but it does have a different sensation to my other fingers. It's hard to describe though, almost though it's lost some sensation...And what is left is always slightly 'tingly' compared to the way my other fingers feel when they touch things. But it's something I only notice when I think about it (like now as I'm using it to type) probably because I'm used to it. Really hard to explain. Yikes on your loss of motion though! Especially as a gamer. How long ago was the dog bite?
  17. Wow. No wonder you guys can't say it...You can't spell it either.
  18. Successfully reattached, though I was literally waiting all day at the hospital with it severed so there was some worries on my part (probably more stress induced) that it wouldn't be! Even the scarring is very feint, which is good because until I make people really look you'd have no clue.
  19. Wait. Do you guys spell it differently too? :/
  20. Pretty gosh darn good.
  21. It was an evil laugh at the way you fear me. Also it's spelled 'Aluminium', and we pronounce it phonetically.
  22. Greatest of cakes and days to Nicholas...Whoever they are.
  23. There was an Australian show called 'Who Dares Wins', which was basically the hosts walking the streets daring randoms to do stuff for money. It was on when I was a kid, and most people my age have fun memories of it. The issue is though, and the reason Mike Whitney (one of the hosts) has discounted dthe change of it ever coming back was the insurance costs were too high as some of the dares were dangerous...Like setting yourself on fire, or doing a jump in a car and stuff... Good show though.
  24. I grew up on a farm...And well, I was playing with a machete on no sleep...Which shows just how irresponsible I was being. Machetes are not sharp.
  25. Nothing, and now getting ready for stupid work.
