I've seen this before, but don't hold your breath unless they miraculously revive Pontiac by May.  Which I'm pretty sure they won't because they dropped it in the first place since the government ordered them to drop a brand to get the stimulus package.  They apparently had too many brands, and even though Pontiac was actually starting to turn profitable, GM wasn't willing to get rid of their other brands.

 

My friend is buying a Trans Am off another buddy of ours.  It's only a 2000, but hey, it's pretty much his dream car so I'm all happy for him and shit.  And since we're talking about cars we want in 2015...

 

 

 

I'm actually helping him out with paying for the Trans Am, and after that's all done with he's gonna help me get my Monte Carlo.

We've been doing stuff like this for a few years now.  It started out with things like "hey, want to go half in on X product and then just share it?"  Or "I'll pay 30% for X item you want if I get to use it sometimes".  He used to be on Verizon, but switched over to Sprint and I actually let him be on my plan and I just collect his bill whenever I see him.  Turned out to be a pretty good plan too because we both ended up with discounted service due to having two lines on the account.  He had also bought a (base v6 engine) Firebird on craigslist like two years ago and I offered my dad's silverado to go and get it on the condition that he pays for the gas (I of course went along and did the driving).  We're pretty tight, but I was sure as hell not feeding that 496 engine on a six hour drive there and another six back...hauling 4000 pounds.  I think in total it cost him like $400 for gas alone.
