Mac user advice

I'm seeking advice for a Mac user please who wrote:

So I DL the files to my desktop. Then I extracted them to my desktop. Then I dragged the two maps in to my map file. when I went to go in to the game the Immure started to DL in halo and then stopped. Halo closed and a extraction window came up.

Fatal Error - We have detected that one of the halo files is missing or corrupted. We recommend removing and reinstalling the game. (immure)

I have had many d/l with no issues, it seems only to be Mac users.

Tiddy-bits:

I've been using Mac for 5 years now, this is not an issue that ever occurred to me with anything.

Pretty sure you only use MD, though. I think she's talking about full for Mac.

Oddly, this is familiar to you... as if from an old dream.

What is the user trying to accomplish, and with what maps? Perhaps you could give a link to the map, too?

He is trying to play rev_immure. A file link was sent via xfire, unsure now which of the 2 I sent. He is using full Mac.

Windows OS is inconsistent also. I was able to download and join server but another Windows OS user has not, having the same issue as above.

I'm now thinking my link causes the issue and the one NeX is ok??

After thought - I have had no trouble previously sending map files via Dropbox.

The maps in those links are not identical. NeX's version has 28 more tags than your version. This can potentially cause the maps to be incompatible with one another if the object tag IDs are mismatched, resulting in an exception error if you try to join a server with a different map than what is in your maps folder.

edit: I've just checked the tag data. The tag IDs are definitely mismatched. The maps will not be compatible, and a crash will occur if you join with a different map than what the server is hosting. Both versions are equally playable, but only if players join with the same version as the one on the server.

My solution is to have them download the same version of the map that the server is hosting.

Thank you 002.

I will look into which version/s I have sent to who. Those links were a quick 'kick the kid off the pc' to post but I am thinking, yes, NeX added a few things this morning ie HP Shields and teleporters. I may have sent the unrevised link, shit!
